I want to keep this brief and concise, as far as why I got into tattooing obviously, I love the art. I was exposed to it from an early age, but never seen myself doing it as a career. I owned an airbrush studio at the age of 19 and ran it for 7 years. I painted murals for the City of Chicago and also did freelance work for a few years as well. The transition from being an airbrush artist/painter was instant and natural. Being now a professional tattoo artist for 15 years and tattooing out of Fifth Sun Graphix for 8 years I wanted to create an environment where other artists as well as myself would be able to grow and inspire each other as well as to aspire to become well rounded artists. Breaking into the industry was very difficult at the time. I did not take formal apprenticeship although it would of saved a lot of time. I chose to pursue it on my own and I am a self taught artist. I highly recommend any one now looking to pursue the career in the field to seek at an apprenticeship. I have apprenticed many artists who have become very successful. As far as my particular style, I'm known for doing freehand, color work, large pieces, black and grey. I do not have a preference being that I love art in general. I enjoy collaborating with my clients to create an one of a kind piece that is unique to the client. I would like to thank everyone who has supported me through the years, my friends, family and especially my clients who I have developed a long lasting friendship with. Thank you for the continual interests in my work and what Fifth Sun Graphix has been able to provide.
